Often, the more you put into something, the more you get out of it, and association membership is no exception. Whether you are an AV technology manager or your company is a dealer, design consultant, integrator, independent representative or manufacturer, you can join a council or committee specifically geared to your interests. Enjoy peer discussion online and in person, talk about today's challenges and solutions, conduct research, participate in forums and help shape the products and services to meet the needs of our industry.
What is the role of an InfoComm International Committee?
InfoComm International committees guide the planning and development of InfoComm, membership policies and education training programs.
What is the role of an InfoComm International Council?
Volunteer members work in councils to develop programs that benefit InfoComm International members and the industry as a whole.
Why should I get involved?
Discuss common concerns; share ideas with your peers in the industry; participate in survey development; suggest an InfoComm event or InfoComm International member benefit; and gain professional recognition for you and your company.
How much time and effort are involved?
Most members contribute a few hours of their time each month, usually at quarterly audio
conference meetings or by participating in ListServs (e-mail discussion groups). The chairperson of each group serves on the InfoComm International Board of Governors and must be willing to devote time to Board duties.
How does InfoComm International cover the costs of programs and events?
InfoComm International funds the basic costs for virtual meetings as well as a meeting at InfoComm each year. Additional projects, including surveys, summits and special events at InfoComm, are approved for funding by the Board of Governors on a case by case basis.
