In order to obtain a password to access an OnDemand presentation, you need to register.

  • To register, contact an InfoComm International training counselor at 703.273.7200 or 800.659.7469 or e-mail sales@infocomm.org or register online.
  • Within 1 to 3 business days of registering, you should receive an e-mail from ICIA with your password for the course.

OnDemand uses Sonic Foundry®'s MediaSite Live product. This system does not require special plug-ins or other software. Check the system requirements listed below. What are the system requirements?
For PC
Windows 98/NT/2000/Me/XP or
Pentium 200 MHz (or faster) processor
32 MB (or more) RAM
Video card set to display in thousands of colors at 800x600 (or greater) resolution
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or higher
Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher
Internet connection: better than 56K dial-up recommended
Sound card and speakers

For Mac
Apple Mac OS X version 10.1.5 or later (latest release of version 10.2.x recommended)
Any computer supported by Mac OS X version 10.1.5 (450 megahertz (MHz) PowerPC G3 processor or higher recommended)
128 megabytes (MB) or higher memory
10 MB of free hard disk space
Monitor color depth - 256 colors (Millions of colors recommended)

Does OnDemand work on a Mac?

Why don't I see or hear the video in the video window?
You may not have an acceptable version of Windows Media Player installed. 
(See next FAQ item).

How can I get the correct version of Windows Media Player?

  • PCs: To install the latest version of Windows Media Player, go to this Windows Media download site.
  • MACs: To install the latest version of Windows Media Player, go to this Windows Media download site. 

I hear audio and see the slide presentation, but why doesn't the video load?
The most common reason this occurs is if your bandwidth falls below 33K, the video window will switch to audio and slides only automatically. If you do not know how to check your bandwidth, contact your system administrator or your ISP (Internet Service Provider). 

Another possibility is that your firewall is blocking a necessary port. Check with your system administrator or your firewall vendor to see if port 1755 is blocked.

How do I use the presentation controls?
The presentation will start automatically. The presentation window includes separate controls for the video and slide show portions of a presentation. More information is listed below on these controls. To see this data while in a presentation, click the Help button in the viewer.

Video controls
Use the buttons below the video display to control playback, video settings, and volume




Drag the trackbar to seek through the presentation.


Click to resume playback after stopping or pausing the presentation.


Click to resume playback after stopping or pausing the presentation.


Click to halt playback. Playback will start at the beginning of the presentation when you click Play.

Full Screen

Click to enlarge the video to fill your monitor. Press Esc to exit full-screen mode.


Click to turn off the presentation's audio. Click again to turn it on again.


Click + to increase volume, or click - to decrease volume.











Slide show controls
Use the buttons above the slide show to navigate the slide show, view a slide list, or enlarge the slide.




Click to display presentation support material or images of speaker material one at a time.

Click the Show full-size image indicator  in the lower-right corner of the slide or anywhere on the slide to playback the slide show in full size mode. See Max Slide 

Slide List

Click to view all available presentation support material at once. The current slide is highlighted.

Click any slide or image to open in a larger window. You can also preview each slide or play the project from that point.

Max Slide

Click to display the slide show in full size mode. Click anywhere on the slide to start playback from the current slide.

Select the Auto Refresh check box (which also sets that option on the Options page) to automatically update Live Viewer slide images as the speaker changes them.

Click Refresh Now to manually retrieve and display the latest slide image.

Click to navigate through the slides.

Next Slide














Why don’t the Poll Results and Ask buttons work?
These functions are disabled.
