Report On Labor Issues in the Audiovisual Industry

InfoComm's Government Relations Program is aimed at providing members with accurate information about licensing issues.

Members can access current state-by-state listings of licensing requirements for those performing low voltage/limited energy work, electrical contractors, electricians, alarm installers and professional engineers. All the information is available and continually updated on the members-only section of the website.

As issues arise, InfoComm e-mails legislative alerts to members in impacted states, providing any pertinent information about pending legislative action on licensure initiatives.

InfoComm has a variety of documents and resources available regarding the 2006 legislative session.

In addition, InfoComm is involved in Department of Commerce and Department of Justice efforts related to Intellectual Property. The association is active in organizations attempting to create harmonized anti-counterfeiting regulations between the United States and Europe.
