Q: I have registered to attend a course onsite, and I have a dietary restriction. What should I do?
A: Please contact Bill Thomas at bthomas@infocomm.org or call him directly at 800.659.7469 ext. 3130. Please indicate the food that you cannot eat and suggest alternatives.

Q: What time does class begin?
A: In general, all classes start at 8:00 am. You will receive a confirmation letter that will detail the class start and end times, any materials that you would need to bring and hotel information. If you have not received this letter at least a week before you are scheduled to attend the class, please call 800.659.7469 ext. 3560.  Please note that many onsite courses (but not all) start on a Sunday.  Check the InfoComm Academy calendar or your confirmation letter carefully.

Q: Are there any hotels that have discounted rates for students attending the course?
A: The Comfort Inn University Center at 11180 Main Street in Fairfax, Va., is located � mile from the InfoComm Academy. When making your reservations, please call 1.800.223.1223 or 703.591.5900 from 8:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m. (ET) to reach the hotel sales office. Be sure to mention you are attending the InfoComm Academy to get the special rate of $95.00 plus 9% tax per night. The Comfort Inn provides a shuttle service for students to and from the InfoComm Academy.

Another hotel in the immediate vicinity is the Courtyard Marriott. Please call 1.800.321.2211 or 703.273.6161 for reservation information. The hotel is located within walking distance of the InfoComm Academy. Effective September 1, 2006, our rate has changed at the Courtyard Marriott Fair Oaks. This rate will be in effect until December 31.

Q: Will I receive a certificate for the course?
A. Yes, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Q: I may need to leave the course early. How do I get my certificate?
A. To receive a certificate, you will need to participate until the end of the course, which is determined by the instructor. If you have an emergency or an unusual circumstance, please let us know prior to your departure from the Academy

Q: I've lost my certificate. How do I get a replacement?
A. To get a replacement certificate, please contact
support@infocommacademy.org and provide your full name, the course name, and the date you took the course. A replacement certificate will be mailed to you.

Q: I am driving to the InfoComm Academy and need directions. Where can I find this information?
Visit the directions page on our website where you will find directions from Maryland, Southern Virginia (Richmond), Washington, D.C., Dulles Airport and Washington Reagan National Airport.
